District 28 posts local non-profit and community partner flyers here in the District's "Virtual Backpack." This approach allows us to provide information about community programs in a way that is environmentally friendly and cost-effective. Girls on the Run logo

Girls on the Run

A nationally organized after-school running program for girls will be held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at Westmoor School or Five Seasons Gym. Girls in 3rd through 8th grade are invited to participate. The group trains from March until the citywide run in May or June. Download the flier for more information.

 Intelligent Lives

'Intelligent Lives' Documentary

The North Suburban Special Education District is hosting a screening of 'Intelligent Lives' at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Glenbrook South. The file captures the lives of three pioneering young adults who challenge perceptions of intellectual disabilities. Download the flier for details.

Filmmaker and parent-advocate Dan Habib will talk about what it takes to segregation and create a culture of inclusion in schools and communities at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 4 at Sunset Ridge School. Download the flier for details.

Notre Dame Science Camp

Notre Dame Science Camps

Students participate in a variety of experiments that are hands-on molecular biology techniques and learn about the expanding field of genetics. Labs will be with Notre Dame faculty and current Notre Dame students, who also serve as camp counselors. Download the flier for more information.
