A Message from Our Superintendent, Larry A. Hewitt, Ed.D.
Welcome to the Northbrook School District 28 website!
Our motto is “Teaching, Learning, Caring!” The staff of District 28
believes each child is unique, and it is our responsibility to provide
the best education possible in an environment that is challenging, yet
caring and inviting.
Our District community believes in a strong commitment to education, and
that dedication is very evident in the programs and opportunities
available to our children. District 28’s reputation for excellence in
academics, the fine arts, and extracurricular programs is well known.
Our focus on the whole child means students are educated to become
successful, productive citizens who are critical thinkers and who
exhibit strong moral character. Our goal is to help each child reach his
or her fullest potential.
We strongly believe that children learn best when educators develop
meaningful partnerships with parents, encouraging and valuing input and
feedback from home. We also promote connections with the wider community
through our involvement with the Park District, Public Library, and the
Village of Northbrook. We believe in working together for the benefit
of our children and families.
As you peruse our website, we hope you will find a great deal of helpful
information about District 28 programs, activities, and upcoming
events. You may also contact us at 847-498-7900.
